So apparently the Twilight cast reached a general consensus to wear something feathery and/or pastel-colored. How else do you explain this?

It's no secret that Kristen Stewart dresses for comfort rather than style, but wearing a cutout bathmat to a premiere is a bit extreme. On the other hand, it stands out amongst the mundane cocktail numbers that typify standard red carpet fare. It's intriguing, interesting, and atypical - dare I say I love it? Dakota Fanning went with a safer choice - the nude tone subdued the embellishment, but the feather fringe gave it a bit of edge. Pretty? Yes, but also boring. Alternatively, Nikki Reed took a chance with a birdlike confection (Marchesa?) that mimicked an hourglass shape and emphasized her impressive muscle tone. Ashley Greene's floor-sweeping gown, though it was beautifully draped, did nothing for her figure. The train seemed a bit out of line with her costars' shorter hemlines, but its lack of pattern and basic design made it casual enough for the event.
