Despite winning the CFDA fashion fund in 2006, Doo Ri Chung has remained a mostly under-the-radar designer. However, her flattering creations have earned her a coveted space in the Bryant Park tents and propelled her forward as an emerging force in the fashion world. Her latest resort collection showcased the shirring, draping, and architectural tailoring that Ri does so well.

Zippered gladiators balanced short, structural dresses while leather accents added a dose of rocker-chic to sculpted sheaths and form-fitting frocks. Ri seamlessly blended usually disparate elements of youthfulness, romance, modernity, and classicism for a collection that was well-integrated without becoming repetitive.
