Christopher Bailey, one of my favorite designers, is celebrated for luxe staples tempered with practical sensibility.

What the collection lacks in variation - it features similar themes every season - it makes up in quality and attention to detail. As usual, Bailey juxtaposed proportions, textures, and colors easily, melding tailored separates into outfits that seemed polished but never overdone. Elegant, metropolitan ensembles were toughened up with youthful extras like buckled ankle booties and double fastened belts. Lace edges, herringbone patterns, and oversized lapels updated the signature trench. The ruched, draped dress adored by celebs and models alike also made a reappearance in green silk and blush jersey. Even the finishing touches - oversized crocodile hobos - were purely lustworthy.
